"Magic Cup 2026" Introduces MagicEye AI Judging System

to Promote Inclusive Education and Positive Growth

[Hong Kong | May 17, 2026] Hosted by the Yung Shu Tau Creative Arts and Culture Foundation, the "Magic Cup 2026 — Elite Magic Competition & All-Hong Kong Primary School Magic Arts Invitational Tournament"

took place on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Hall 3DE of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (14:00–17:30).

The event drew a wide audience, bringing together local and overseas magic performers, students, parents, and magic enthusiasts. Through competition, technology,

and cross-disciplinary exchange, the organizers aim to elevate magic beyond a fleeting moment of astonishment on stage. The vision is to integrate magic into education and the community,

transforming it into an empowering force that can be learned, accumulated, and passed on.

Au Kam Ho, Founder of the Dramagic Culture Arts Foundation Limited and Chairman of the Event, stated: "The emotion brought by magic is often very immediate,

but what I want to do more is—to turn this inspiration into a sustainable force." He added, "We hope that the 'Magic Cup' is not just a competition,

but a platform where participants of different ages and abilities can grow, be seen, and be recognized."

Transforming the Competition into a "Growth System" | Two Major Categories Pave the Way for the New Generation

This year's event is divided into two main sections: the "Elite Magic Competition" for performers aged 18 or above, and the "All-Hong Kong Primary School Magic Arts Invitational Tournament" for primary school students across the city. The organizers pointed out that the category design aims to allow the new generation to accumulate experience on a suitable stage, while giving mature performers the space to push their craft to a higher level. Furthermore, through seminars and recognition segments, the participants' dedication and efforts are reflected not only in rankings but also become visible milestones.

MagicEye AI | Enhancing Transparency and Consistency

Another major highlight of "Magic Cup 2026" is the introduction of the MagicEye AI assisted judging system. The system uses AI technology to analyze performances in real-time, providing judges with objective data references; however, the final scoring of the competition is still determined by five professional judges. The judging panel includes Chief Judge Lai Shing Chung, along with Siu Ka Man, Fan Wing Sang, Wong Ho Sum, and Ko Tsz On. The organizers emphasized that technology does not replace stage emotion, but rather "supports" every effort, allowing participants to more clearly grasp areas for improvement and enhancing the consistency and fairness of the competition.

"Another Possibility of Magic" Dialogue | Connecting Education, Technology, and Inclusion

The event also featured a dialogue session titled "Another Possibility of Magic — A Conversation Between the Founder and the Doctor (Magic Therapy™ Seminar)," co-hosted by Au Kam Ho and Neuropsychologist Dr. Wong Ka Ho. They explored the possibilities of magic in education and community support. The organizers hope to extend the applause from the stage into the wider community, making magic a more systematic and sustainable intervention method to bring positive support to children in need.

Responding to "Inclusion" with Recognition | Making Effort and Contribution Visible on the Same Stage

In addition to multiple awards in the Elite category, the award ceremony also featured awards related to education and social contribution. These included the "Pioneer in Creative Arts and Inclusive Education Award," presented to Teacher Ko Chui Ying of Si Yuan School of the Precious Blood; the "Pioneer School in Inclusive Magic Education Award," awarded to Si Yuan School of the Precious Blood; the "Light of Hope" Neuroscience Humanitarian Contribution Award, presented to Dr. Wong Ka Ho; and the "Star of Justice" Public Interest Legal Guardian Award, presented to Barrister Law Siu Lun.

A renowned magician with 20 years of experience, former host of TVB's children's program After School ICU, and host of Metro Radio's children's program Sunday Big Pineapple.

Director of the Hong Kong Children's Magic Troupe, Founder of Unique Stage Production, and a cross-disciplinary art education expert.

Judge – Wong Ho Sum

Magician at the Cathay International Chinese New Year Night Parade, resident magician for the Lan Kwai Fong Group, and former magic consultant for films and television dramas.

Champion of the 18th Hong Kong Open Close-up Magic Competition in 2024, Hong Kong Youth Close-up Magic Champion, and Founder of Flying Stars Magic.
